CLEAR FROM FEAR

ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION SYMPTOMS,
 TREATMEANTS AND CAUSES

Being bombarded with constant real or imaginary worries will deplete your emotional energy which will lead to depression unless you have the correct coping mechanism.

Anxiety leads to Depression? Yes, it does! Anxiety disorders are more common than one might think.  This sound surprising as it is something that has been around for AGES. There are some who believe it is caused by chemical changes in the brain, due to a genetic disorder or a time of great distress in your life.
But there is also evidence that depression may be caused, to a certain degree, by an overactive hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA axis).
Anxiety is the stepping stone to depression, which means that if it isn’t stopped in its tracks, things will only get worse.
People who suffer from anxiety usually see everything with a negative attitude, from A PLACE OF FEAR. They are unable or unwilling to imagine that their problems can possibly be solved. This generally leads to an anxiety attack, or ‘panic attack’.
An anxiety attack can be a terrifying thing!
Your muscles tense, leading to pain in the back and neck. That one a lot of people are familiar with. But others include unfocused worry or anxiety and a feeling of doom and utter despair, your heart pounding rapidly in your chest, sweating and clammy hands, headaches, severe shortness of breath and a feeling of tightness in the chest, and dizziness.
Fortunately there are some very effective anxiety treatments, what some refer to as panic attack treatments, out there. These SHORT TERM medications such as Diazepam, Alphrozepam and Lorazepam, all of which fall into the Benzodiazepine family of which Valium and Xanax are two of the best recognised brands. These drug types are very effective in its ability to relieve the physical symptoms of anxiety, BUT DANGEROUS!

DEPRESSION

The symtoms i experienced was mood swings, from being destructive to feeling sad and crying. I developed an appetite and then i would over eat. Food comforted me. I had no energy, a feeling of exhaustion. Just the thought of having to do something was just too much for me. I just could not do what i did before. I became incapable even in the simplest of tasks such as getting up in the morning and getting dressed! I even would evoid my routine daily tasks such as taking out the post or answering the phone. I had no HOPE, life looked to me useless. I could not and did not want to do the same things over and over again, like, working, cooking, watching tv, sleeping and waking up the following morning to have to repeat the same story...no more, i am tired..what is the purpuse to it? I was bitter and sad at the same time, angry at the world, God and my family. Some days were okay and some days great but those off days i truly SURVIVED! It was as if i was dropped off in the middle of the ocean and i can see land but i have to swim if i want to survive and get to shore, but on the island is no people. I have to make a choice to swim or i could drown. It was that hard for me to survive, i compare it with having to swim a great distance in the sea to get ashore

The Major feeling I experienced was: NOT BEING LOVED and INCAPABLE OF LOVING. I had no faith in my abilities or in my future and therefore NO HOPE!

I lost my company, my health and my will to live….. That is called DEPRESSION!

Treatment for anxiety is therefore of paramount importance.

I believe that prevention is better than cure. My advise is: Treat the fear, anxiety, phobias, stress and panic attacks before you end up with DEPRESSION.

Today there are excellent programs, books and all sorts of information available on the internet to help people. Invest and participate in these programs, they really work.

Take a look at these books and programs, i highly recommend them. Most important, first identify what you are suffering from? Panic attacks? Caused by? Anxiety or maybe phobias? Be honest with yourself and deal with the cause. I new what caused me to fall into a Depression. I regret not doing something more constructive in preventing it. I just took prescribed drugs and carried on with my troubled live. Once you get Depression... everything freezes! Stop, yes, dead in its tracks. For more information about all the different kinds of fears and phobias, please visit: http://profoundfeelingsof.blogspot.com

I do not recommend taking prescribed drugs unless you really have to

The anxiety treatment I mentioned earlier is a lighter medication than what is used for depression. The medications used to treat depression are called antidepressants. Some of the more common types of antidepressants include:

Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors ,or SSRIs, include fluoxetine ( or Prozac), sertraline (or Zoloft), paroxetine ( or Paxil), and fluvoxamine (Luvox).

Serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, or SNRIs, include desvenlafaxine (or Pristiq) and duloxetine ( or Cymbalta).

But there are other forms of treatment besides taking medications.

Talk therapy is one example of this. It is counseling, focusing on your thoughts and feelings, and it can be instrumental in helping you learn how to deal with them.

Psychoanalysis can also prove to be very beneficial.

  And lastly:

Try to put in some exercise, take a jog in the morning! Find a hobby, something you enjoy and are good at. Don’t be afraid to take someone you’re close to into your confidence, a caring person who will listen to you can be a wonderful thing.

AND REMEMBER THIS:

YOU ARE NOT ALONE
